Ok, here I go! Today is officially Day 1 of Week 1 of Month 1. I laid in bed last night tossing and turning about when I should "start" my diet.
Here are all of the reasons I thought I should NOT start today:
1. I haven't grocery shopped for healthy foods
2. I don't have a good exercise DVD
3. It is Thursday, which is Vampire Diaries and wine night
4. It is supposed to rain
5. It is almost of the weekend (read: my usual "cheat days")
6. I didn't want to
When I woke up, I looked in the mirror and told myself that I deserved better than all of the excuses I was giving myself. I have been making excuses for years. Deciding to live healthier is like many other decisions in life: there is no perfect day or time to start.
So I got out my camera, took some awful pictures, weighed and measured myself, and decided to eat a healthy breakfast.
I will call this my first victory.
Here are my stats:
Starting Weight (Jan. 01): 262.5

Current Weight: 258.6 (should've been a NFL lineman huh?)
Chest: 47 in. (and no, I'm not nursing)
Waist: 43.5 in. (aka non-existent)
Belly Button: 53 in.
Hips: 57.5 in. (oh, Lord)
Arms: 15.5 in. (that is each one in case you were wondering ;)
Thighs: 30 in. (still rubbing)
Pant Size: not really sure since I only wear pants with elastic in them... but my guess would be 22/24.
Whew! That is a whole LOT of Jenny.
Jenny - proud of you, honey!!! This is an awesome start - I love how honest you are w/your excuses. I could use some more Jenny, actually... need to see you STAT.
